Does Reed Brothers Security hold the master key?
No. By strict regulations, only your authorized local fire department has the key to access your KnoxBox. We do not hold keys or have opening authority.
Once mounted, contact the Oakland Fire Bureau's fire prevention bureau. An inspector will visit your property to secure the keys inside using their secure master key.
Per Oakland Fire Code, the center of the box must be mounted between 48 and 60 inches above the finished floor on the latch side of the entrance door.
