Unlike traditional hinges, continuous hinges evenly distribute the stress of a swinging door along the full length of the door frame, diffusing the wear and tear from the door closer kickback shock and eliminating the door sag.
Entry doors are commonly with 3 butt hinges. That is an adequate solution for lightweight doors that are not frequently used.
Eventually, however, the stress of a swinging door will cause the top and/or mddle hinges to fail, resulting in a misaligned door. This will cause the door to drag, preventing it from closing, and misalign the lock strike.
A continuous hinge will keep your door aligned the way it was originally installed. It does not corrode or warp over timer or from frequent use.
Our continuous hinges deter vandalism by protecting the door from being pried open from the hinged edge of the door.
